What stands out
Touch on three fingers. Thumb, index and middle. Every other brand here covers two fingers at most, and several publish nothing. If you operate a phone, tablet or touchscreen dash mid-session, this is the practical difference.
Nanofront® in the palm. A fibre Alpinestars also uses in its motorsport line, with a 3D print on top for grip. The brand carries real racing experience into a sim product, which is rare in this field.
A heavily perforated back with Lycra gussets. The gussets between the fingers let the hand open and close without the fabric pulling, and the perforation is more generous than on most backs here. See gloves for sweaty hands.
A welded cuff. Short, pre-shaped and finished without a hook-and-loop strap — like the SRG1 short, and unlike the F33L, which uses a reinforced closure.
The weight question
90–120 g is the highest figure published in this comparison, and it is also the least usable, because Alpinestars does not say what it refers to.
| Reading | Comparison |
|---|---|
| If per pair | roughly three to four times the GCOM SRG1 (31 g) and about double the F33L SR Flow Forte (just under 50 g) |
| If per glove | 180–240 g per pair — six to eight times the lightest glove here |
Either reading places it at the heavy end. Until Alpinestars clarifies, this site treats 90–120 g as the lower bound and marks the unit as not stated. Full table in lightest sim racing gloves.
What Alpinestars does not publish
- Seam position. Not stated, so it is unknown whether a ridge runs inside the palm.
- The weight unit. See above.
- Care instructions. None published.
Alternatives
| If you want | Consider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The lowest weight | GCOM SRG1 | 31 g per pair published, fully external double seams, XS–XL |
| A wider size range | FREEM SIM21 | Eight sizes 2XS–3XL, 32 g per pair, US$60 |
| A perforated palm, not just a perforated back | Moradness Aura Pro | Mesh palm with grip zones |
